Aboard INFINITY And Beyond

A close friend of mine is currently traveling alone on an Alaskan cruise. She left last Thursday on this trip wondering why she even decided to take the trip because her enthusiasm had dramatically waned. Prior to her leaving I told her that I was praying the Lord would reveal to her His plan and the divine appointments He had in store for her. Yesterday I received the following message from my friend while her ship was docked in Ketchekan, Alaska ...

I have felt a little out of place on this trip trying to figure out why I came. I may have just found out why.... I am just wandering around killing time enjoying the awesome weather. I went into one shop that is so different from all if the run of the mill souvenir shops. (she told me that she was drawn to the expensive shofar in the window) It has very expensive hand carved intricate pieces, large heavy stones that are gorgeous, but lots and lots of totem poles and ritual masks, and native American spirit stuff ...

So I am strolling around in there thinking about how much $$ they have tied up in inventory and no customers. Then it happened ... the Lord said, "Tell the owner that I will not bless this business as long as these idols are here!!"

Oh my gosh!! So I went to the guy behind the counter and told him that I am a born again Christian and what I was about to say was only out of obedience. I told him what God had said. He was blown away. He is a Christian and his partner is a Messianic Jew. His partner told him that they needed to extract some of their merchandise, due to the reasons I had just mentioned. They had a prophet come in and pray and confirmed what the partner had said, so they removed much of what they had. As time has passed, he started to add a lot of it back because he felt like they had so much money tied up in it that they needed try to recoup their investment. As of late, sales are way down and they are suffering greatly financially as well as his relationship with his partner. Also, his sister just died yesterday. He said he was not going to open today but only came in to work until noon just to get his mind off of the loss of his sister.

He had tears in his eyes as he thanked me and knew it was the Word of the Lord!!!

This man was given another opportunity. The Lord chose to send my friend all the way from Texas to Alaska to give him a message that confirmed what his partner and another ministry leader had already spoken to him! Isn't it amazing how much the Lord really loves us when He patiently waits on us to obey the words He is trying to get across to us through others? Do not despise the words of your friends ... or the stranger who may just happen upon your path ... the Lord may have sent them!
